Assessment Title Assessment 2: Written Essay The following information is to be used for this assessment: Ivan is a first year Student Nurse (SN) on his clinical placement for his nursing degree. His placement is at Thomastown Residential Aged Care Facility (‘The RACF’). Ivan has been assigned to work with Naomi, a Registered Nurse (RN), for today’s morning shift that starts at 0700 hours. Ivan and Naomi commence their morning shift by introducing themselves to their ten (10) allocated patients. They then proceed to plan care for each patient for their 8-hour shift, by looking through the files to prepare each patient’s daily care plan. They commence attending to each patient’s cares, from Bed 1 to Bed 10. By 1100 hours, Ivan notices that one of the patients, Elsa, an 80-year old female, has soiled herself in her bed. Ivan lifts Elsa from her bed, helps her to a chair and cleans the bed. He then documents this in Elsa’s clinical notes, for Naomi to read at a later stage. At 1500 hours, Naomi informs Ivan that she needs to leave early as she has a hair appointment scheduled.
