write this better:My first encounter was with a student who was brought into the nurse’s office with his coach. The student had a minor cut on the left side of his head. The nurse had me clean his womb with a gauge and antibacterial spray. Luckily, he didn’t need stiches. Since he had hit his head, I performed a quick neurological assessment. I also took his vital signs. The student appeared dizzy, but he was alert and oriented x 4. The nurse called his parents and he was sent back to class since he was stable and no longer felt dizzy. Throughout the morning, there were about 5 students who came into the office for sore throat, nausea, and stomach pain. I was able to assess the tonsils on all 5 students, as well as, check vitals regarding temperature status. Most of the students had swollen tonsils but no fever. Of course, parents were called and some students went home while some went back to class. Later that morning, the head nurse showed up and was giving scoliosis exams on a few female students. I was able to observe and listen to her educate me on the process of giving a scoliosis exam. There was also a student who was a regular. Meaning she was always finding ways to come to the clinic. She stated that her stomach was hurting but she was smiling and didn’t show signs of pain, so the nurse sent her back to class.
