Original Question

REPLY TO THE CLASSMATES POST: NO AI Water is important in daily life, but too much water is dangerous and can lead to death, in this case when it came to Jennifer and her intake of that amount of water I believe what she started feeling I her brain was pain of her brain pushing down on her skull which then triggers and makes her feel nausea, wants to vomit and could also give you a headache. What is happening is Jennifer is intaking water mins at a time and that’s not good cause sodium levels in our blood are diluted, so then osmosis will extract water from the blood into the body cells, this then causes the brain to swell which then leads to hyponatremia. Hyponatremia is when your blood sodium (salt) X level is lower than it should be, it starts causing problems like muscle weakness, and cramps. The effects on Jennifer brain was more devastating then compared to any other tissues is because the brain had swollen causing the contents of the brain to push down through the path of resistances through the bottom hole of the skull which is called fan magnum, and then portion of the brain is then jammed down into the framan magnum which then is squeezing part of the brain called the medulla oblongata and that is the part of the brain that carries the vital functions. Drinking a sports drink with electrolytes will make a difference, it’s a yes and no because if sodium is low yes electrolytes can put it back in instead of taking them away and I say no also cause even with drinks that have some sodium it still have mostly water in them and consuming too much can lead to the same issue. Another circumstances where you can be at risk is the kidney and liver disorder can contribute cause when it comes to the kidney it can only remover 0.8 to 1.0 liters of water per hour, so taking in 8oz of water every 2 mins is not give the kidney time to flush that first liter out before another its working the kidneys overtime.
