nclusion criteria Participants This review will focus on women who intend to breastfeed or are breastfeeding. Studies that are tar- geted at women 18 years and above, regardless of parity, with low levels of education, psychosocial problems, and/or socioeconomic constraints, as defined previously, will be included. Concept The review will include studies on interventions/strat- egies that have been implemented or investigated to support the initiation and continuation of breastfeed- ing. The studies of interest will encompass prenatal care, hospitals, maternity wards/clinics, and both in- house and at-home breastfeeding support for up to 6 months postpartum. Support can be provided with- in the national or local health care systems. The support may come from health care professionals or peer supporters affiliated with the health care system or non-governmental organizations. We are inter- ested in findings that include individual consultations as well as group interventions over time. These could include co-interventions that adhere to local or national policy. Furthermore, we will focus on the concepts of acceptability, sustainability, safety, and equity of the interventions/strategies.
