CW was immediately taken to the ER via ambulance, after being evaluated by our internal medical staff. After this process Irene continued to verbalize homicidal ideations, at the request of ARS Director Dominique Acevedo she was taken to Virtua Hospital in Mount Holly for psychiatric screening. Irene remained at Virtua and was initially reccommended for an inpatient stay. Virtua attempted to make various referrals to multiple hospitals which resulted in Irene being denied due to her history of aggressive behaviors including the incident that transpired on 06/15. CW met with her clinician the next day to debrief and process the incident, again Cordelia indicated that she was rightfully upset about the situation but felt safe knowing that Irene was not currently in the home. CW was carefully monitored by staff with consistent check-ins to ensure she was okay emotionally/mentally. IS was released from Virtua hospital on 06/17 after several failed referrals to various hospitals (Jefferson, Carrier Clinic, Bridgeton and Robert Wood Johnson). Upon her discharge back to program Irene met with clinician Sahara Perkins, ARS Director Dominique Acevedo as well as Program Director Alton Moore. A safety plan was put in place to ensure Irene’s safety as well as the other youth involved. There was no contact made between either youth, Irene was placed on a 1:1.
