Family/personal network: Boran’s two children live approximately 20 minutes away and try to visit at least once a fortnight. As both Suzanne and Kevin have busy careers and young children, they are not able to spend as much time with their father as they would like. Kevin is also going through a messy divorce so has been less involved in his father’s care and planning than his sister. Boran is a well-known member of the local Cambodian community. He and Noc regularly attended social evenings and had a wide circle of friends. Since Noc’s death Boran has not attended many events as he finds it awkward being a widowed man amongst so many couples. Income: Boran receives a part pension and receives investment income. Employment: Boran worked for many years as a gardener/maintenance person at a local private school.
