Discussion board response to a Nursing students introduction. “Good day, my name is Shantel Trapp. I am an Aries, traveler and an introvert. I enjoy going on adventures and experiencing the world and it’s cultures. My family migrated from caribbean decent so I am a first generation American. I am an active daughter, sister and best-friend. In my years of growth I have achieved many things in my life and I continue to grow everyday as an individual. I was a CNA for five years and in that field I leaned the basic foundation of nursing. I then went on to pursue a course in a technical school to became a Surgical Technologist. I have been in the profession now for five years and it has been the most rewarding and challenging in both personal and my professional life. I enjoy learning in the health professional field and looking forward to accomplishing more in the field. As an interval progression in my growth I have decided to take on the challenge as I see of going back to school and continuing my education to become an RN. I am currently in my sixth semester of nursing school at Helene Fuld College. I am excited and I look forward every day to the importance of nursing and helping others. This is an important milestone that I never thought of doing but I wanted to help patients not only in the surgery setting but to see how I can help outside of that setting. I have dedicated most of my time in studying in my nursing courses. I work full time and try to also give time to my family and friends and have a social life. This journey has taught me that it is important to balance life and work life and school life because your energy can sometimes get drained and it is always good to take breath.”
