Original Question

Everyone experiences stress, whether it is good or bad. Stress can be beneficial or, quite the opposite. Chronic stress is the biggest factor in the development of serious health diseases. Rasheed (2016) states that chronic stress is linked to major neurological disorders, heart diseases, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and that stress is the cornerstone of almost all major depressive disorders. On the other hand, hassles would just be typical everyday annoyances that might just seem to frustrate you. When I think of hassles, I see piles of laundry, dishes, floors that need a good mopping, and never feeling like there’s enough time in a day. These “chores” do annoy me and I sigh at the thought of them, but they really aren’t that awful. But, stress in my life would definitely be worrying about bills and other monetary things. The feeling of financial insecurity puts tension on a lot of areas in my life, especially as a parent and wife. I don’t want to worry about if we will be able to make certain payments on time or not. I think exercising more would benefit my stress levels greatly, just fitting it into my schedule is key. If I could change one thing to be healthier tomorrow, I would take more time for myself, including self-care. I always give my time to everything else and can neglect my own needs sometimes.
