To make it a little easier to remember, the largest and most frequently used synthetic drugs are the imidazoles and triazoles. This group includes any drug name ending in azole: econazole, itraconazole, ketoconazole, and voriconazole. There are 11 azole drugs listed in Table 42.2 with clinical value as antifungal agents.
