Twenty-four hour diet recall shows that the patient had a medium Oreo cookie Blizzard and eight glasses of water. The client tells you that the Blizzard contains 790 calories. “That’s plenty of calories for a disgusting fatty like me.” S.C. collects recipes and has collages of food pictures. “I enjoy collecting recipes for my family.” S.C.’s mother relates that S.C. is a very good cook, but seldom sits to eat with the family, and when she does, she hides food in her pockets later to be fed to the family dog or thrown away when no one was looking. S.C. hasn’t had her menses for the last two months, but doesn’t fear being pregnant. She denies being sexually active. S.C. has a 3.9 GPA and states that her science teacher rates her projects, “at an A- all of the time. I think he hates me.
