Case study background information – Mr Whetu Williams Whetu is a 27-year-old young man, originally from Rotorua on the North Island in New Zealand. His mother, brothers and sisters moved to Australia 10 years ago after his father died as a result of an MI. Whetu loves playing rugby and during the game today he sustained a blunt trauma injury to his right chest after a collision with one of his teammates. Whetu complained of sudden sharp chest pain and suddenly became very short of breath. Whetu was stretchered off the field and transported to hospital by ambulance.
