You are the nurse for Patients C. Please write a “timeline” for an 8 hour evening shift starting at 1500 and ending at 2300. Plan in 15 minute increments (see example below). At CCH we draw up medication ourselves into syringes to be administered via G-tube, J-tube, bladder catheter, or rectally. -If the patient requires CPT (chest physiotherapy), followed by cough assist and suctioning (C/A & sxn), it takes about 15 minutes. -Baths take at least 30-45 minutes. Pt. C gets a bath and weight on Tuesdays. ***Please include it in your timeline even if you are scheduled for Mondays. -Note when formula needs to be started or stopped. Formula needs to be prepared. The CNA can prepare the formula. -Schedule a 15 minute break and a 30 minute meal -Don’t forget to schedule time to chart for each child -Report to the night shift is from 2300-2330 Grading All time slots must be filled (5 points) Include your breaks and time to chart.
