The diagnostic label sensory processing disorder includes three categories: (1) sensory modulation difficulties (sensory overresponsivity, sensory underresponsivity, and sensory seeking/craving), (2) sensory discrimination difficulties, and (3) sensory-based motor difficulties, for example, postural disorders and dyspraxia (Miller et al., 2004; Miller, Robinson, & Moulton, 2004).
