Professional Communications II Assignment 1 Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to use effective communications skills while interviewing a “well” older adult. The purpose is also for the learner to gain first-hand information about aging from the perspective of a “well” older adult. Step One: Student will approach a “well” older adult who is willing to be interviewed for approximately 30 minutes. Student will arrange the time and location of the interview. Step Two: Student will develop a list of questions to be asked during the interview. (Minimum of 5 questions) Interview questions will be reviewed with the instructor before conducting the interview and handed in with the written report as an Appendix. Step Three: Student will conduct the interview, taking notes as needed during the interview.
