Description of the situation Last month, I have observed Meili identifying different coloured pencils verbally. Today, Ms Renuka brought out some plastic vegetables and we displayed them in the kitchen corner for children to play with. As soon as Meili have seen these, she joined her peers and pretend to be serving food. Observation Meili was smiling as she picked up a plastic bowl and served herself with a fair amount “noodles”. What do we have for lunch, my friends? The children answered me by saying “pasta, noodles, veggies”. I’m so hungry”, I added. Meili said “noodles, carrots, orange carrots”. Oh, is this for me? She nodded and smiled. Thank you Meili. It’s yummy, one child said. Meili observed what her friend said and also said “Yummy”. She grabbed the whisks and started to stir the ingredients in a circular motion. After doing it for a couple of times, Meili served the food by handing it over to me.
