Journal of Clinical Nursing, 23(15-16), 2264-2271. https://doi.org/10.1111/jocn.12506 This article is on Swedish nursing students and focuses on the stress faced by them during clinical practice and looks at the risk of stress in relation to the organizational settings of the clinical education (Watson et al., 2018). While there has been a lot of attention cast on the issue there is not nearly enough research that has been conducted into the issue hence the purpose of the study. The study is conducted by 3 universities collaborating together and the pool of participants is drawn from nursing students who are in their final 2 years of the program. Data was collected by questionnaire, further supporting the position that the data was collected for the article was done through qualitative research in a bid to investigate the stress faced by nursing students and try to determine if the organizational and clinical setting factors play a role in the stress faced by the students The Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) is a checklist that analyzes qualitative research and rates its effectiveness and reliability. The Research question could not be more concise as it seeks to investigate the stress faced by Swedish student nurses in clinical practices and if the organizational factors have an impact on the same. The method of data collection from participants was done using questionnaires that used a numerical value ranking system. The same data was sourced ethically and had h a high percentage of informed consent which is relatively high considering that the response rate was close to 90%. The results supported the hypothesis as it found close to half of all participants had stress as a result of clinical practice and this figure varies depending on the organization participants working in overcrowded hospitals reported remarkably higher levels of stress as compared to those who worked in placements in other setting. The levels also spiked when the participants took their final examination were placed in the hospital. However the major limitation of the article is that it does not conduct an in depth research of the impact of the final examination on stress levels and would require a more in depth investigation.
