Food Safety Topic Paper – Review of Scientific Journals Instructions Your task is to research a current food safety topic and write a summary of that or articles related to that food safety topic. You can choose your own topic or select from the list of topics for consideration listed at the end of these instructions. Select one peer-reviewed such as a newspaper, magazine or established website to review your selected food safety topic. Articles from trade journals are not acceptable for this assignment (trade journals often include advertisements that appear in the form of an article). Government publications aimed at consumers qualify as popular publications. Certain government research-based journals may be considered in the peer-reviewed category. The article can be in print or downloaded form or accessed entirely online. (I would recommend finding it online) The publication year for the articles must be 5 years old or less, published in 2020 or more recently. The peer-reviewed article you select to review must be long enough so you can write a summary and answer the questions given later in this document. At a minimum, the article you read and review should be 4 pages long or a 1500 word count.
