Original Question

Hello!!! I need a lot of help with this assignment. I need help with better wording on how to express myself and to respond to what is needed (in black). Thank you so much! do a project proposal written to the leadership of your healthcare organization, propose a nursing informatics project for your organization that you advocate to improve patient outcomes or patient-care efficiency. Your project proposal should include the following: what is the project you propose. Identify the stakeholders impacted by this project. Explain the patient outcome(s) or patient-care efficiencies this project is aimed at improving and explain how this improvement would occur. Be specific and provide examples. Identify the technologies required to implement this project and explain why. Identify the project team (by roles) and explain how you would incorporate the nurse informaticist in the project team. Nursing informatics integrates nursing science, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in nursing practice. In recent years, nursing informatics has gained importance in healthcare organizations as it helps to improve patient outcomes and patient-care efficiency by utilizing technology and data analytics. The digital era requires nurse informaticists to fulfill their essential healthcare role of enabling real-time data exchanges and improving patient care outcomes. Two key barriers persist within the healthcare sector, notably the difficulties of electronic health record (EHR) interoperability. Medical facilities and pharmacies that operate independent information technology systems create major patient data inconsistencies. Patients whose medication and allergy information in the EHR system becomes incorrect due to lack of data communication between healthcare providers is a typical case I experience in practice. The future will witness substantial changes in healthcare professional interactions, resulting from the evolution of nursing informatics and emerging technologies. AI technology, together with virtual nursing practices (Hess & Alper, 2024), has the potential to improve workflow efficiency yet may lead to reduced job requirements in many healthcare positions. In this proposal, I propose a nursing informatics project for our healthcare organization to improve patient outcomes and patient-care efficiency. The proposed project is the implementation of a Nursing Information System (NIS) in our organization that assesses daily patient mental health. I would propose an app you can download on the phone and links to healthcare staff that can monitor 24 hours. it would work like a helpline for suicidal patients; they would tell their emotions daily in this app, and whenever they feel suicidal, it would reach a healthcare professional would able to reach them and talk with them to minimize the situation and prevent patients from killing themselves. To enhance patient safety by providing easy access to accurate and up-to-date patient information, such as medication lists, allergy lists, and treatment plans. Improve patient care by giving nurses real-time access to patient data, such as vital signs, lab results, and progress notes. To reduce errors and improve the accuracy of patient care by providing nurses with decision support tools, such as clinical practice guidelines and protocols. To improve communication and collaboration among healthcare professionals by providing a secure platform for exchanging patient information. To reduce paperwork and administrative burden by digitizing patient records and streamlining documentation processes. The app would also be linked to the psychiatrist if he had one and definitely with their PCP; the PCP and psychiatrist would receive their information that is flagged through fax, email, or even a phone call; their data could be in real-time and can be assessed at any time. The app would send them questions a few times daily and assess them. Insurances and Nami would be their stakeholders. Patient outcomes would be better, with the risks of suicide diminished since patients can reach out for help. A psychiatrist, Nurse, and other healthcare workers would be available to help at no cost.\ A nurse informaticist would be working 2r4 hours analyzing the data the app receives and layering the healthcare team necessary to make sure patient safety is a priority. Stakeholders evaluating the program include law enforcement agencies, health agencies, mental health agencies, pharmacies, emergency medical services, businesses, healthcare institutions, and federal programs. The primary beneficiaries of the program’s results and reporting are people at a greater risk of suicide, their relatives, friends, healthcare providers, first responders, and policymakers aiming to combat suicide. Introduction: Nursing informatics integrates nursing science, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data, information, knowledge, and wisdom in nursing practice. In recent years, nursing informatics has gained importance in healthcare organizations as it helps to improve patient outcomes and patient-care efficiency by utilizing technology and data analytics. In this proposal, I propose a nursing informatics project for our healthcare organization to improve patient outcomes and patient-care efficiency. The proposed project is the implementation of a Nursing Information System (NIS) in our organization. Methodology: To achieve these objectives, the following steps will be taken: Conduct a needs assessment to identify our healthcare organization’s specific needs and requirements in terms of nursing informatics. This will involve surveying nurses and other healthcare professionals to gather their input and feedback. Research and evaluate different Nursing Information Systems (NIS) available in the market to select the most suitable one for our organization. This will involve comparing the features and functionality of different NISs and their costs and implementation processes. Implement the selected NIS in our healthcare organization. This will involve training nurses and other healthcare professionals on how to use the system and configuring the system to meet the specific needs of our organization. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the NIS in improving patient outcomes and patient-care efficiency. This will involve collecting and analyzing data on various metrics, such as patient safety, patient satisfaction, and documentation accuracy. Expected Outcomes: We expect the implementation of a Nursing Information System (NIS) in our healthcare organization to have the following outcomes: Improved patient safety: By providing nurses with easy access to accurate and up-to-date patient information, we expect to reduce the risk of suicide and adverse events. Improved patient care: By providing nurses with real-time access to patient data, we expect to improve the quality and timeliness of patient safety. Reduced errors and improved accuracy: By providing nurses with decision support tools, we expect to reduce errors and improve the accuracy of patient care. Improved communication and collaboration: We expect to improve communication and collaboration among healthcare professionals by providing a secure platform for exchanging patient information. Reduced paperwork and administrative burden: By digitizing patient records and streamlining documentation processes, we expect to reduce the burden of paperwork and administrative tasks on nurses and other healthcare professionals. Conclusion: In conclusion, the implementation of a Nursing Information System (NIS) in our healthcare organization is a valuable nursing informatics project that has the potential to improve patient outcomes and patient-care efficiency significantly.
