respond to this concern – concern: While rounding today on 401A a few concerns were brought to our attention by staff on the neighborhood. It was advised that the Recreational Therapist is running the daily huddles and there is a lot of Veteran information being shared which created some questions on if the Recreation Therapist had a need to know all the medical information. The CNA’s also advised that they rarely have time to attend the huddles but would like to be able to. It was also shared that mandating was getting better on the neighborhood but seems to be slipping back into an everyday occurrence, and some of the staff are worried about burnout. — it is tottaly appropriate for the recreational therapist to run the watchlist huddle. Any discipline can and should be able to facilitate these. It really take a village to support our Veterans and catch things early so they definitely have a need to know for the information being shared. Colleen has called in today but I will plan to follow up with her when she returns to work to provide some education on watchlist huddles.
