NOTE: Late assignments will not be accepted. The use of Al (artificial intelligence) for creating content in your work is a violation of the policies for the Department of Interprofessional Health & Aging Studies (IHAS) and will be treated as academic conduct (per the IHAS programs handbook, page 22.) Activity Details: In this assignment, you will develop an interview to be conducted with an older person (over age 70 and not a blood relative to you) in which you explore their views on the issues identified as the focus of the 2015 White House Conference on Aging. https://whitehouseconferenceonaging.gov/2015-WHCOA-Final-Report.pdf First, read each of the issue briefs included on the 2015 White House Conference on Aging website. Based on the issue briefs and the goals of the 2015 White House Conference on Aging: Prepare an interview guide, 4-5 questions, to be used in interviewing an older person (age 70 or over) In the interview, address the degree to which the older person thinks the issues which are the focus of the White House Conference are important. Also, explore with the older person being interviewed their own priorities/issues for the Conference. Tip: If you have time, you might want to listen to some of the recordings of regional summits held in advance of the Conference In these summits older adults and advocates talk about their views on critical issues. This might help you frame the questions for your interview. https://whitehouseconferenceonaging.gov/ Summarize the results of your interview in a short paper. This is not just a listing of your questions and the responses, but rather the paper should be written in appropriate APA or MLA format. Identify the person interviewed in a general way (e.g., female, age 77). Summarize the interview. Attach interview questions as an Appendix. (Paper will be a total of 4-5 pages: Title page, 1-3 page summary, followed by a References page)
